These are the non-religious necklaces.

Listed in alphabetical order.

Adventure in Vintage

Unique.  In a single word, I can describe this necklace…unique.  It will gather interest and awe from all.  Its simplicity of the stone is combined with the complexity of a vintage earring.
Yin and Yang.

·         16” combination chain.  14” antique bronze oval chain with 2” petite antique bronze in the center.  This chain is completed with a traditional lobster clasp in the back.
·         The center of the necklace is a vintage antique bronze earring. This unique earring is a teardrop shaped with paddle shaped stick adornments.  The age and patina accrued on the earring gives it an amazing look!  One of a kind!
·         Hanging within the earring is a large, faceted aventurine teardrop.  Aventurine s known as the “Stone of Opportunity,” thought to be the luckiest of all crystals, especially in manifesting prosperity and wealth.  Aventurine releases old patterns, habits and disappointments so new growth can take place. It brings optimism and a zest for life, allowing one to move forward with confidence and to embrace change. It enhances one’s creativity and motivation, and encourages perseverance in maneuvering life’s obstacles.

Classically Funky2

Throw this funky little piece on with anything in your wardrobe.  It is a tasteful accessory that carries just enough sass to break the mold.  Stand tall, you’re an original.

·         This 30” combination chain keeps things interesting.  14” of a vintage 1970s purse chain combined with 16” of antique silver oval chain.  This necklace features a “leaf” toggle clasp closure in the front.
·         Hung asymmetrically on the left side is a 1950s rhinestone charm.
·         Large, milky green jade stone with black and white inclusions that provide interest and beauty.  “Jade is said to bless whatever it touches, serving mankind across the globe for 6,000 years.”  Jade is the stone of calm in the midst of a storm.  Its action balances nerves and soothes cardiac rhythms.  Jade is a special stone that is believed to promote wisdom, creativity, balance, and peace.
·         Hanging with the milky jade stone is the Makings By Bee signature cluster of items.  This cluster contains:
o   Vintage onyx beads.  Onyx guards against negativity.  It can help release negative emotions such as sorrow and grief.  Onyx can fortify self-confidence and responsibility, sharpen senses and encourages a healthy ego.
o   Vintage sterling silver bead. Silver is an elemental metal. It fosters hope, meditation and unconditional love.
o   Czech frosted glass teardrop bead.
o   Vintage freshwater pearls.  Pearls are the “stone of sincerity,” known to alleviate emotional imbalances, enhance personal integrity and assist emotional expression.

Cloisonné in Solo

“Cloisonné is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects, in recent centuries using vitreous enamel, and in older periods also inlays of cut gemstones, glass, and other materials.”  The large vintage cloisonné pendant included on this necklace is a beautiful example of this ancient tradition.

·         27” combination chain.  16” vintage gold metal “floral” chain.  This is one of the most unique chains that I’ve ever seen.  8” antique bronze petite chain.  Necklace is completed with a traditional lobster clasp in the back.

·         Large vintage cloisonné pendant.  Primarily red in color, this pendant is decorated with flowers and butterflies.  Minor chipping on one side gives this beautiful pendant an extra touch of character.

·         Hanging asymmetrically on the left side of the chain is an eclectic mix of items to complement the divine cloisonné pendant.  Vintage antique bronze “puffed” teardrop charm.  Multiple vintage glass pearls in varying age, size and color.  Vintage bronze colored glass rhinestone.

Dripping in Labradorite

Labradorite is said to be the most powerful protector of the mineral kingdom.  I won’t argue the power of labradorite but I will stand for its beauty.  The subtle green, blue, and yellow metallic iridescent that shine through in “flashes” and “fire,” it is spectacular to behold.

·         18” combination chain with a large traditional lobster clasp in the back.  5” of vintage onyx rosary chain with 13” antique silver oval chain.  Onyx guards against negativity.  It can help release negative emotions such as sorrow and grief.  Onyx jewelry is worn to defend against negativity that is directed at you.  I positioned the onyx on the left side to “protect” the heart.
·         A delicate silver teardrop pendant perfectly frames a large labradorite stone that I wire wrapped.  Labradorite is said to bring forth each person's strengths to share with the world.  It is believed to strengthen the will, inner strength and convictions, as well as aid in combating addictions. Labradorite tempers the negative side of our personality, the traits and actions that rob our energy and may produce depression or shame.
·         A Makings By Bee signature cluster hangs asymmetrically on the left side of the chain comprised of:
o   Labradorite faceted briolette delicately wire wrapped.
o   Vintage sterling silver bead.  Silver is an elemental metal. It fosters hope, meditation and unconditional love.
o   Vintage assortment of black glass bead, black gunmetal bead and vintage Swarovski crystal bead.
o   1950s tiny seed pearl.  Pearls are the “stone of sincerity,” known to alleviate emotional imbalances, enhance personal integrity, wisdom and assist emotional expression.  White pearls are a symbol
faith, innocence and of a pure heart and mind.

Oh Those Pearly Blues!

The perfect t-shirt and jeans necklace!  Complete your relaxed look with this simple and feminine neutral and blue necklace.

·         18” combination chain of 11” petite silver chain and 7” vintage 1950s rosary strand of Japanese glass pearls.  The pearl strand has a slight gray hue from the aging process along with nicks for a unique look.  The strand has been treated to slow the aging process.  The necklace is completed with a large lobster clasp in the back.
·         A vintage silver hoop earring frames a cluster of items:
o   A vintage silver flower earring turned pendant with 3 glass aquamarine rhinestones in the center.
o   Vintage sterling silver bead.  Silver is an elemental metal said to foster hope, meditation and unconditional love.
o   Freshwater pearls in white, cream and blue.  Pearls are a symbol faith, innocence and of a pure heart and mind.
o   Vintage silver cylinder bead with adornment.

Ring in Simplicity

Often elegance comes in simplicity.  In jewelry, simplicity allows each piece to shine and “stand alone.”  This necklace is simply perfection.  The properties of this necklace create a firestorm of unspoken strength for women.  A positive source of strength in this difficult world.

·         Vintage 1960s 22” gold chain.  Gold is elemental in nature and is used to bring wealth, happiness, stress relief and good feelings. Gold is a mineral of spirituality, understanding, and attunement to nature. It attracts positive energy and is said to be a great healing mineral.

·         Vintage gold-toned hammered, asymmetrical ring
·         2” vintage gold chain
·         Hand wrapped mookaite jasper drop in a purple hue with white and gold inclusions.  Mookaite jasper is widely used in the healing energy community to connect with elemental Earth powers for increasing self-confidence, self-worth and to realize one’s full potential.  It is a nurturing stone that supports and sustains during times of stress to bring peace and wholeness.  It encourages versatility and helps you to accept change.  Mookaite jasper grounds and stabilizes the whole body and provides a protective energy to block unwanted influences.  Most importantly for women, it is said to be an anti-aging stone by boosting the immune system to restore tissue degeneration and balance mineral content within the body.

Smokin’ and Flowin’

This necklace makes me squeal with joy!  The movement and simplicity produces a smile on the lips and provides the wearer a fun and funky accessory.  The elemental makeup of this necklace will provide fierce protection and happiness to the wearer.

·         This 32” chain is comprised of a vintage 27” petite gold chain with 10 beads and   5” of antique bronze Figaro chain.  The beads can be worn on one side or the other and even split for a funky look.  The chain is completed with a traditional lobster clasp in the front.
·         Vintage hammered gold-toned ring.
·         Triangular gold mesh piece taken from a 1980s bracelet and wired to be an artistic charm.  The movement of the mesh allows the necklace to take on a life of its own in an extraordinarily elegant manner.  Gold is elemental in nature and is used to bring wealth, happiness, stress relief and good feelings. Gold is a mineral of spirituality, understanding, and attunement to nature. It attracts positive energy and is said to be a great healing mineral.
·         A large, vintage, smoky quartz faceted teardrop playfully snuggles alongside the gold mesh piece.  Smoky quartz is a root chakra stone that enhances survival instincts and can help one reach personal and business goals. It is said to be a stone that brings abundance, prosperity, and good luck.  It is also an excellent stone for protection from negative energy.  It removes negativity and negative energy of any kind and transforms them to positive energy.
·         Earrings included.  They are comprised of miniature mesh triangles, originally on earrings from the 1980s.  In conjunction I added a petite smoky quartz stone.  These elegant earrings will spiritedly dance from your ears and pair perfectly with the Smokin’ and Flowin’ necklace.

The Key to Eclectic Leftovers

This necklace is the representation of abandonment.  Most of the items that are used in this shabby chic necklace were items that others tossed aside and I turned into treasure.  This necklace is the perfect embodiment of the Makings By Bee tagline: “Unique strands created from modern and vintage elements.”

·         30” combination chain.  8” vintage silver “lace” chain, 10” antique silver flat chain, 6” vintage rosary chain using milky glass pearls and 6” vintage gold chain.  Chain is completed with a large lobster clasp in the back.
·         Antique skeleton key covered in rust and other forms of natural aging that gives beauty and character to this piece.
·         Suspended from the antique key are:
o   Gold toned Tibetan ring.  Rings are a source of unity and eternity for many people.
o   Vintage silver arrowhead shaped earring turned pendant.
o   Vintage antique bronze paisley shape and designed earring turned pendant.
o   Milky-white chalcedony teardrop stone with large brown colored inclusion.  Chalcedony is a nurturing stone that promotes brotherhood and good will.  It absorbs negative energy.  It brings the mind, body, emotions and spirit into harmony.  It alleviates hostility and transforms melancholy into joy.  Eases self-doubt.  Creates openness and enthusiasm.  Absorbs and dissipates negative thoughts, emotions and bad dreams.
